Check Out Our New Maps!
Just to let everyone know, we have added new interactive Travel and Campground maps to our blog site. The Travel maps trace our exact routes for each year and also geographically depict the places we stayed along the way. The Campground maps show every campground we have stayed at since 2015 all on one map. There are several ways to access them:
- From the home page, from the main menu bar under the banner photo, pull down on Maps & Stats, then select the title of the map that you want to see in detail.
- Click on the heading links below.
- Click on the map images below.
The links and map images below will take you to the detail page for that map, from there, click on the image of the map to launch the map browser. To zoom, use the zoom tool in the left hand corner or the mouse wheel. To move around the map, click the mouse button and drag. If you want to filter by any available map layers click the icon on the left that looks like a stack of coins.
Master Travel Map
This map shows all of our routes and campground/resort stays from September, 2015 through the end of August, 2018. Each year is color coded. Hovering the mouse over the route line, or clicking on it, displays the start and end points of that route segment. Hovering the mouse over the pushpins displays the name of the campground and date of our stay, clicking on the pins additionally displays links to the campground website (if there is one), our review (if there is one) and any blog posts we’ve written detailing what we did during our stay there.
Master Campground Map
This map shows all of the campgrounds/parks/resorts we have stayed at from September, 2015 through September, 2018. Each icon is color coded to indicate if it is a free boondocking or service location, a federal, state, county or city location, or a private RV park. Hovering the mouse over an icon displays the name of the campground, clicking on the pins additionally displays dates of stay, links to the campground website (if there is one), our review (if there is one) and any blog posts we’ve written detailing what we did during our stay there.
Annual Travel Maps
Each of the maps below, shows our route for just that particular year of travel as well as the campgrounds/resorts we stayed at. Bright red push pins indicate those campgrounds/resorts that were our favorites that year. Also, except for the current 2018-2019 map which is a work in progress, there is a brief synopsis of our travels for that year – where we stayed, attractions we visited, etc.
Plans are to add 2013 – 2014 and 2014 – 2015 travel data at some point in time.
In the meantime, we hope you find the information useful and a helpful resource when planning your own journeys!
