Freightliner Service Results
So the service tech strolled out into the waiting area about 4:15 with a look that initially made me nervous – but all was well! No issues were found except a minor leak in the exhaust near the turbo – a quick readjust of the band clamp resolved this.
The tech was helpful and answered all my questions and gave me a few pointers. He commented that the chassis was in exceptionally good shape and that he thought everything was as it should be based on his test drive. So that’s good peace of mind! Since this is supposedly a million mile chassis I guess we are off to a good start!
Just a quick comment to add to Linda’s post about Cowpens – this is a very nicely done attraction, the movie is very engaging and the grounds are very pleasant and attractive – definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. And its free.
Million Miles – eh? Well you’ll just have to swing by Chicago area on your ride home this spring! Extra 1000 miles or so just a drop in the bucket. Enjoying your blog very much.
Hey folks (and kids)
Temp at the moment is 63 and rising. Over the next few days it will look like this
Friday 72/49 Saturday 76/52 Sunday 77/54 Monday 77/56
So the daytimes are perfect with the overnights lower but vastly improving over time.
The other issue we have here right now is the lack of any meaningful amount of rainfall so the fire danger is very high especially since we seem to be in the lightning capital of the country.
It’s always something!
Continued safe travels.
