Quantum Leap is hauling on 10/17 which is about a month earlier than usual. This is to give us time to get ready for our journey south in the Discovery.

Today we went to the gas dock to top off the tanks – our last fill-up of the year. Interestingly this was also our first fill-up of the year! We used about 100 gallons all season which included a few trips to Newport, Bristol, Wickford, etc.

Later in the day we pickled the three engines (one being the genset) – I must admit I really don’t enjoy this part of the process any more.

Over the weekend we will take down the mast, lower the antenna, pump out and flush the holding tank, pickle the fresh water systems, pickle the AC cooling loop, etc.
